Once upon I said the most boring thing ever Preparing food must not take more time than eating it. Luckily I am a slow eater, but still...! These pictures show my way of "cooking" - I chop. Put it on a plate. And eat. I live with someone who gives cooking much more time and passion though.

I always think your meals look amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'd be pleased to be at your table.
Snabblagat eller inte...det ser fantastiskt gott ut! :) Jag gillar att laga mat men det får gärna vara lättlagat. Och så tilltalas jag av att se det jag äter - så jag köper dela/hacka/äta rakt av. :)
ReplyDeleteBut I do believe that when you have good ingredients all you have to do is chop, arrange & dress.
ReplyDeleteAll of these look delicious!
very tasteful! love your way of cooking and enjoying it :)
ReplyDeletei love your food photos--
ReplyDeletealways look delicius
Your food arrangements look delicious anyway;)
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate. I'm a chopper, too, not a cook.
ReplyDeleteI like your way of cooking !!!
ReplyDeletehahaha . . i do the SAME thing . . i'm always so willing to continue drawing or whatever that i'm doing, that i try to use as little time as i can preparing my meals . . that's my excuse i guess !
ReplyDeleteYou're a great cook, Sandra!!!!!

Sounds like you two are a good combination :)
ReplyDeletehaha this entry made me laugh! i am the same kind of cook. sometimes also i chop, then i cook together with quinoa and spices in the same pan, and it's a "stir fry"! :D
ReplyDeletei love the way you cook, sandra!

Lovely food, with a dutch jenever on the side!
ReplyDeleteYummie!
It looks tasty and healty, but you must look out: it is rather fatty and sugary: bacon and cheese is very very fat food, eggs have lots of fat & cholesterol, olives came out of the oil I think. Those fruits contain lots of sugar, and all those cakes I saw in your other posts ...
ReplyDeleteI know 'cause I like to eat all those things too, but I'm on a diet now, I've grown too much weight and fat that is good for me ... :)
Your food photography is literally some of the best I've seen on the web. Everything looks utterly natural while also almost impossibly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI know you think of yourself as a "chopper," not a cook, but your composed dishes look more gorgeous and appetizing than the many of most complicated dishes coming out of professional kitchens. I really wish you and your husband would pitch a cookbook. "The Assembler and the Passionate Cook." :) Anyway, thanks for sharing all your beautiful photographs with us.
what i always notice and love, is that you and johan always have exactly equal portions
ReplyDeleteLooks tasty!
ReplyDeletelecker. dabei habe ich gerade erst zu mittag gegessen :)
ReplyDeleteI love it. Also you seem to have mastered the art of the soft-boiled egg (or was that Johan)? Either way, the photos are beautiful. Who says simple, chopped food can't be delicious?
ReplyDeleteThat is brilliant! It all looks so simple and yummy. I'm going to try that way of cooking.
ReplyDeleteYour food looks super healthy, with lots of good fats. Eating eggs does not cause cholesterol problems, it was disproven long ago! Thanks for the inspiration.
