The fluff

Untitled
Everything is very fluffy now.

Untitled
I started my day with a long walk. Gonna do that every morning from now on.

Untitled
Been admiring this sign for years. Never tried the restaurant, though.

Untitled
Berlin tiles.

Untitled
Pretty flowers that I hadn't seen before.

Untitled
The fluff!

Untitled
Horror movie tree.

Untitled
Look, the wisteria is about to blossom.

Untitled
And some typical Berlin graffiti/tags. A big part of Berlin's culture.

Friday around town

Untitled
Hello, cat neighbour!

Untitled
So new and fresh.

Untitled
Took the party tram up to Prenzlauer Berg to have lunch with Johan and Mark.

Untitled
We ended up at a ramen place.

Untitled
It was very tasty, most of all very beautiful. Taste wise I had yummier :)

Untitled
Since we were not far away from Mark's bar, Badfish, we decided to have dessert there.

Untitled
The guys were having Guinness, I had ginger beer.

Untitled
Can't get over how pretty all leaves are now.

Untitled
Said bye bye to Mark and started walking down to Mitte.

Untitled
Passed by this gorgeous poser, s/he was like Oh! You're taking a picture of me?! and gave me the largest smile.

Untitled
Got hungry again and shared a chicken döner with Johan.

Untitled
My favourite tree is now blossoming.

Untitled
The scent is one of my all time favourites. Reminds me so much of the beginning of summer holidays (they blossom much later where I grew up).

Untitled
This dog was so cute and grumpy, gave him the name Sven, the bouncer.

Untitled
Colours.

Untitled
Rosenthaler Platz.

Untitled
That was my Friday, was a great day.

My new hair

Untitled
The lilacs are in bloom, yay!

Untitled
Lunch. Rice with veggies, an egg, seaweed, sambal oelek, a sauce Johan made (=no idea what he put in it) etc. So good.

Untitled
Hi! I am so happy Johan cut and dyed my hair last week. I recognize myself again. OK, maybe not in this picture - I'm really not good at being in front of the camera. Johan took the picture and giggled at me, saying Sandra, you really really don't feel comfortable right now, huh?. Guess you can tell, but I like the picture. I look more and more like my dad. Used to have short, dark hair now and then when I was younger (here are pictures of my different hair from 1999-2010).

Spring! Stay warm!

Untitled
Hey, it's time for a Spring SALE!

Untitled
These are a few of the colours available.

Untitled
The crochet hook, my favourite tool.

Untitled
I like other fluffy things as well, not just yarn.

Untitled
You get 20% off on your Wrist Worms purchase until end of April.

Untitled
Spring is here, the mornings and evenings are quite chilly. I'm still wearing my Wrist Worms most of the time, even while sleeping.

Why Wrist Worms?
Apart from adding something extra to your outfit, keeping your wrists warm makes your hands stay warm which is ideal in situations when you can't have your fingers trapped in regular gloves, for example when:

Playing an instrument
Going skiing or doing other outdoor sports
Taking pictures
Writing & Drawing
Typing on your computer, offices can be chilly
Selling stuff at an outdoor market
Taking out a pram for a walk
Using a touchscreen device
Holding that glass of cold yumminess at that amazing garden party
Sleeping / Reading a book in a chilly room
etc etc

Bye Easter! Bye Sickness!

Untitled
OK. The world gets really small when you spend a whole week at home sick (c'mon, I am even talking about it on my blog ha ha). Haven't been sick for so many days since about 15 years, it actually felt good to slow down and not be all over the place. Today I finally start to feel a bit better.

Untitled
Have been drinking a lot of pineapple juice. And taking pictures around the house, about as much energy I could find.

Untitled
Also been drinking coffee every day, finally I enjoy filter coffee. I used to be a double/triple espresso kind of person.

Untitled
Woke up to a freezing cold flat this morning.

Untitled
Detail of our old ladder that came with the flat.

Untitled
Johan gave me this one on our wedding anniversary in 2014. My favourite, find so much inspiration in it.

Untitled
I moved my computer to the kitchen today, the warmest room in our flat. I refuse to go shopping for coal and start heating again, the cold temperatures are only going to last for a few days anyway. The gas stove is the answer.

Untitled
Got these beans from my friend James who runs Fjord together with Morgan and Kresten. They taste amazing - the beans. I haven't tasted the guys.

By the way, Johan cut my hair.
And made it dark.
After 7 years I recognize myself in the mirror again, wow.

Ginger tea!

Untitled
On Monday afternoon I understood why I woke up feeling weak. A brutal cold had attacked me. Usually I get well after a day or two, but now it's Thursday and it just keeps getting worse. Time to wear my favourite socks.

Untitled
Body ache, sore throat, coughing like a chain-smoking 80 year old etc. No fever though, haven't had fever since... year 2002...? Good, still in the mood for coffee!

Untitled
The ugliness of being sick. Gonna get myself a new phone soon, I hope.

Untitled
If you tell a German you have a cold, I promise you that 99% of them will immediately shout You have to drink GINGER TEA! This is something I've been finding very cute for so many years now. Yes, I've been drinking it now and then when friends offered me, thinking it tastes amazing (I also drink it when not sick), but not until today I've been sick enough to actually feel how good it is. This also probably means, I haven't been that sick for many many years. Good thing!

So, as the Swede I am, I had never heard of Ginger tea, so if there are others without this knowledge, I recommend this:

Get Well Ginger Tea (the way I did it this morning)

Slice some ginger (5 centimeters approx) and boil it in 4-5 deciliters of water for a couple of minutes
Put 1/2 lemon, either the juice or sliced, in a mug
Strain the boiled ginger water in the mug
Pour some cold water in the mug as well (the ingredient below doesn't like too hot water + you will be able to drink your tea quicker)
Add a teaspoon of honey
Stir
Drink

(You don't have to boil the ginger if you don't want to, just put it in the mug with the lemon and honey and the hot water - I found I got more out of the ginger if I boiled it)

INGWERTEE!

How to start a Monday

Untitled
Monday must be the most bullied day of all days. I like Mondays a lot, though today I woke up feeling a bit weak. All the leaves are so powerful while growing, make me feel more powerful, too.

Untitled
And this brunch at Cozys as well.

Untitled
And flat whites, boom!

Untitled
This person is a good one.

This Monday started very well :)
