Some pictures I shot for my Wrist Worms Wholesale Catalogue 2017.
Plus I've been making hats lately, thinking of listing a few in the shop. In the last picture are two hats made with amazing soft merino wool.
Bye Bye January!
The last weekend of January has almost started. Going to spend my Friday working (and hopefully finishing) the Wrist Worms Wholesale Catalogue for 2017 and then it's time to slow down and spend the weekend mostly at home fixing stuff. Cleaning, cooking, eating - those everyday things that I sometimes forget about because social life takes over. I need to find a balance between those two, but I have no idea how. It's been a big confusion my entire life ;)
Woke up to a sunny studio.
There is hope for Spring, we just have to survive February - the toughest month in Berlin, according to me.
Took a walk to start the day.
The light was beautiful and the air was crisp.
Was out for about an hour.
Didn't wait, went to the studio to be useful instead. I'm making the Wrist Worms Wholesale Catalogue 2017 right now. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in stocking some Wrist Worms in your shop. They've made success in quite a few shops around the world through the years, yay!
The other day I got up and took a walk through the neighbourhood. Fell in love with this book cover.
I really like white and yellow buildings, preferably with decoration overload.
I take detours just to pass by this building. Reminds me of a very very funny moment I shared with Johan a few years ago.
Don't know what I'm doing work wise right now. It's always like that in January after the big Wrist Worms season. You find WW's on sale here. There are of course lots of more here. Thank you for your support!
Let's see what this week brings :)
Ps. Suzanne who wrote me about lavender Wrist Worms - I got your email but can't reply, the emails keep coming back with the message that your address doesn't exist.
If you know, you know.
This one makes me smile every time I pass by.
My camera was focusing a lot on the snow today.
I was focusing on showing you bits and pieces from the flea market at Ostbahnhof.
Due to the weather, there weren't many stands there. I can assure you that this flea market is well worth a visit, especially the other seasons.
I love pelmeni (Russian dumplings) and have been meaning to try out this place for years, but keep forgetting. I have decided it HAS to be good.
Traces of animal feet in snow - one of the most beautiful things I know.
By the way, there are lots of Wrist Worms on SALE in the shop - €10-15 discount per pair, welcome!
Enjoy the end of the weekend, people!
PS. I'm so overwhelmed with all your comments on my previous post. I told Johan Whenever you feel that you've lost faith in humanity, just go to my blog and read those comments. Thank you all so much! I will take time next week and respond to you all. xo
Some pictures that ended up in my camera when I was shooting a job for Deliveroo in December. Those green sparkling curtains had me shape my mouth like an O.
I'm blogging so much more again (really? insert the emoji that laughs until the tears are running), Instagram is still my favourite app, but it's so hectic. The blog format is so much better for telling stories, I would say. Thanks to those of you who still hang around here, I would like to know what you like the most about this place? Maybe it can inspire me when it comes to future blog posts :) xo
By the way, anyone remember the big hit Yeke Yeke by Mory Kante in 1987? I had a love-hate relationship to it. Elektrokid did an AMAZING remix of it last year.
Woke up before 7 this morning and thought I have no idea what this day will bring, so I decided to document it. This was taken at 8 when the sun was about to finally rise.
9am: Went to Boxi for a round around the market.
10am: Was in the mood for a longer walk, so I went to Frischeparadies to buy a cheese (provolone piccante) and then I did some other necessary shopping (canned tomatoes for the spicy lentils, coffee and bread).
11am: Snow covered the streets for a little while.
Noon: Went home freezing, made coffee and jumped in under my duvet to kiss Johan who just woke up. We looked up places we want to take his parents to when they come to visit next month.
1pm: Time to start cooking.
2pm: I never spent so much time on anything food wise, I am Madame Calmness these days. I completely changed after that fast, it might sound ridiculous but it's true. I've never felt this... happy before.
3pm: Lunch was served, you find the recipe in the previous post.
4pm: Decided to go out for another walk and see the sun go down.
5pm: When I was back home Johan made me a drink; beetroot, ginger and apple. Was delicious.
6pm: Monsieur Arbeit.
7 pm: Frozen Lady took a bath. I don't know what's happening with me, I do everything in a much slower pace, yet I get a lot of stuff done. Guess it was about time.
8pm: Went to sexy Aldi to buy some groceries.
9pm: Made dinner, fried salmon with this sauce (made of soy, honey, garlic, ginger, oil and chili flakes) and Chinese cabbage. Was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture of it. Was pretty busy talking to Johan and our BFFs. We have a WhatsApp group called The Fashion Blog, you can't imagine the amazing pictures we send to each other ;)
10pm: This still life in the hallway is just getting more and more crazy.
A bit before 11pm: Putting together this blog post while listening to Robert Parker, he's so great, like an updated version of my all time favourite Bobby Orlando, the guy the Pet Shop Boys were recording with in the early years (which are crazy amazing by the way).
